Emberfall Chronicle

★★★★★ 4.7 Editor rating

Emberfall Chronicle is the kind of RPG I didn't expect to find working fully offline. You roll a small party across a quiet, hand-drawn continent, fighting turn-based battles and slowly untangling a story about a fading sun. The writing is understated but it earns its moments.

Combat rewards planning over button-mashing. Positioning matters, elemental weaknesses matter, and the crafting tree lets you build around whatever playstyle you settle into. I spent a whole flight tuning my alchemist and never missed the internet once.

It's not perfect — the early hours are a little slow, and the inventory screen could use a sort button. But if you want a proper role-playing adventure for the phone that respects your save file, this one holds up.
